Our Mission

Suncoast Waldorf School provides a comprehensive and balanced academic, artistic, and practical education for students in grades Pre-K through 8, with an outstanding curriculum based upon the insights of Rudolf Steiner.  We are a community of teachers, staff, parents, and friends who honor childhood, and value each stage of human development.  Our aim is to provide young people with the capacity for freedom of thought, empathy, and initiative, so they will be able to make meaningful contributions to society and the world.

Suncoast Waldorf School, founded in 1998, is part of the world's fastest growing independent educational movement.  Waldorf education began in 1919 in Germany and today schools are found in 83 countries around the world.  Suncoast Waldorf School presently offers classes for children age 3 through Grade 8.  For more information, click here.

Based on a profound understanding of human development, we are a part of the largest independent, non-denominational educational movement in the world.  The fruits of Waldorf provide a detailed, richly artistic curriculum that also connects the students to nature and ready for the future.  In addition, the curriculum strives to enhance the child's developmental phases and cultivates social and emotional intelligence.

There are nearly one thousand Waldorf and Steiner schools worldwide. Suncoast Waldorf School is not affiliated with any church or religious organization, and welcomes children and families of any race, creed, religion, or ethnic origin.
