Karen received her Waldorf teaching training certification from Sunbridge College in 1994 after completing her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from West Chester University.  She taught kindergarten for two years at the Atlanta Waldorf School  before moving to Pennsylvania.  There, she began the first Parent-Toddler class at Golden Circle Kindergarten in Quakertown, which eventually become the River Valley Waldorf School.  After taking time away to raise her children, Karen resumed teaching the Parent-Toddler classes at River Valley.  Her husband’s career brought the family to Florida, where Karen continues to lead Parent-Toddler classes.  She has three children attending the Suncoast Waldorf school.
